Mentoring

We offer weekly 1:1 Autism Specific Mentoring sessions. These sessions are designed to have a meaningful, positive impact on a young person's overall wellbeing, social confidence and self-awareness.

With extensive professional experience and a deep understanding of Autism, I take a holistic approach—supporting not only the student but also working closely with their family and school environment. My role as a mentor is to build trust, advocate for the young person, and create a safe space where they feel heard, valued and empowered.

What to Expect from Mentoring

Each mentoring journey is uniquely tailored to the individual, adapting to their needs and evolving over time. Sessions typically include:

  • A creative, relaxed and individualised approach, guided by the student’s current interests and motivations.
  • Intensive Interaction strategies to build trust and connection.
  • Social skills development through social stories, cartooning and comic strip conversations.
  • Opportunities to explore and express emotions through drawing, writing, sensory reflection, mindfulness and happy books.
  • Focus on self-regulation, understanding identity and exploring diagnosis positively.
  • Emotional literacy activities, reflection diaries, Zones of Regulation and Talking Mats.
